Sr Project Manager- Payments/ISO8583

Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr Project Manager- Payments/ISO8583 who will be responsible for defining test plans and ensuring that products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing. This candidate will develop, track and manage the project budget, project plans, timelines and scope. The successful candidate will successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against the defined scope and budget using the client’s procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
- Efficiently communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
- Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed, monitored, and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
- Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
- Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
- Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects, working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
- Manage project resources, including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
- Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
Desired Skill Set:
- 10 years of relevant experience
- POS experience
- Experience to be part of Payment Product design/build/testing/release experience
- Good understanding of ISO 8583 Payment Spec and VISA/MC (NOT SWIFT payment experience)
- Experience in transformational projects that include application and infrastructure
- Hands-on expertise with MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint and Excel// MS Office suite
- Experience in Project Financial tracking
- Experience with Waterfall and agile methodology
- Understanding of Azure and cloud

- PMP Certification
