Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Sr. Power BI Developer – Banking who will be part as part of a team responsible for the implementation, administration, configuration, and support of PowerBI dashboards/apps and Power Automate scripts for our client. This individual will possess strong coordination and interpersonal skills and will be interacting with different stakeholders across the Workforce IAM organization. The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain technical issues in understandable business language.
Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, deploy, and support actionable PowerBI dashboards/apps that are part of the Workforce Identity and Access Management organization. Design must be visually friendly, easy to navigate and inspire action by the user(s)
- Design multi-dimension data models leveraging data in many formats (SQL, XML, xlsx, CSV, SharePoint directories, websites, etc.) that allow in-depth analysis
- Due to the sensitivity of the data, work with business partners to secure dashboards/app data in a secure manner via AD groups and row-level security based on data and role
- Work with our business partners and internal teams to ensure insights provided are actionable and meaningful based on key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Build out a data management structure to allow re-use of data across multiple dashboards
- Automate the communication of PowerBI dashboards/apps to a dynamic targeted audience through e-mail and Teams via Power Automate including dynamic tables for user consumption
- Understand business, application, and security requirements provided by customers and translate these into technical specifications. Produce enterprise-level reporting to meet these requirements.
- Be our Subject Matter Expert on PowerBI and Power Automate. Provide consultation to business partners on best practices and standardization when building out dashboards/apps.
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure quality audit-proof data is provided
- Ensure successful deployment of our business intelligence strategy in collaboration with the people leader, Power Platform team and business partners
- Create and maintain documentation (where required) on logic and processes followed to build out the dashboard and communicate with the target audience(s)
- Research and put forward new recommendations to create, automate and improve processes
Desired Skill-Set:
- 8+ years of experience with implementation, administration, configuration and support of PowerBI dashboards/apps and Power Automate scripts
- 8+ years of experience with PowerBI design including dashboards and apps
- 8+ years of experience building Power BI reports and Power Automate flows to support reports
- 8 years of Working knowledge of data warehouse
- Experience with Power Automate
- Working knowledge of DAX and Power Query
- 8+ years of advanced knowledge of SQL data manipulation
- 5 years of experience with XML, XLSX, CSV and other data source experience
- 5 years of experience with querying data from various source (CSV, XLS) SQL query skills
- 5 years of experience with Visualization tools/PowerBI
