Sourcing Specialist – Procurement/Ariba

Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Sourcing Specialist – Procurement/Ariba who will act as liaison with business/executives and provide sourcing expertise and recommendations to business partners to optimize Sourcing strategies to enable the client and business-specific objectives and goals. This candidate will manage category and strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives that support the client and business partner needs and objectives, as well as help mitigate risks to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Leads supplier negotiations to maximize total cost of ownership in a given category and work with business partners
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to sourcing activities for our business area
- Ensure respective sourcing programs/policies/practices are well managed, meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with business priorities
- Ensure business operations comply with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
- Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
- Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
- Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
- Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge of Sourcing and procurement and/or knowledge of broader related areas
- Converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
- Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within the area of expertise
- Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-functions or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends a course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
Desired Skill Set:
- 5 years of experience in Contract Management Negotiations
- 5 years of experience with supplier management, risk management, regulatory compliance or outsourcing
- 5 years of expertise in Strategic Sourcing
- Ability to liaise with several internal stakeholders, including executives, to prepare reports
- Post-Secondary Education

- Hands-on experience with Ariba and Coupa Risk
