Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Business System Analyst (Data Profiling/ Data Mining). The successful candidate will act as the requirements project lead, responsible for eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements throughout the project life cycle. This role requires a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both business partners and technology teams while ensuring that the project’s requirements align with business needs and meet essential quality standards. In addition, the candidate will have strong experience with data analysis, data mapping, and finding data gaps. Furthermore, this candidate will have experience working with AML data and large data sets(eg. Transaction monitoring, Suspicious Transaction Reporting, Electronic Funds Transfer/Wire transfer payments).
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Liaise with stakeholders to identify, collect, and document business and system requirements, ensuring they align with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and sustain relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and met. Facilitate information gathering sessions, manage group dynamics, and ensure focus on project objectives.
- Validation and Documentation: Validate requirements and analysis models through reviews and walkthroughs with project stakeholders. Ensure all system specifications meet stakeholder expectations.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in reviews and inspections to ensure the quality and consistency of project deliverables.
- Process Adherence: Adhere to and ensure compliance with the organization’s Requirements Management Process, maintaining consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including IT and operational groups, to bridge communications and ensure project success.
Desired Skill Set:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, supporting medium to large projects.
- Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with applied knowledge of analysis and problem decomposition techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels, from end-users to IT staff, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong writing and documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise requirements, process flows, and system diagrams.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects with competing timelines, and the ability to plan and execute to meet tight deadlines.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Cybersecurity, and Info Security projects.
- Proficiency in data requirements, data mapping, and data analysis, particularly in the context of large data sets (e.g., Transaction Monitoring, Suspicious Transaction Reporting).
- Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets using tools like Excel; basic SQL skills
- Experience in business process mapping and creating detailed process flow, data flow, and system flow diagrams.
