Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Developer (SQL) – Name Screening Application who will drive the development and delivery of robust system solutions for our Watch List Management Name Screening Application. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and performance of our solution that screens the client's entire customer base against Sanctions, PEP, CRB, and Money Service Business lists. The ideal candidate's deep domain expertise will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive end-to-end technical designs and application enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and program end-to-end solutions, ensuring complete technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) for large-scale, complex, or enterprise projects focused on the Name Screening Application.
- Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries and database operations to support high-performance screening processes.
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence to track project progress, document requirements, and facilitate agile team collaboration.
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration of technical solutions.
- Support system deployment in a load-balanced, service-oriented environment, ensuring high availability and robust performance.
- Establish and maintain appropriate security protocols for data and system implementations.
- Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including system designs, testing methodologies, and operational procedures.
- Lead efforts in problem-solving and process improvements to enhance overall application performance and customer experience.
Desired Skill Set:
- 5 years of hands-on experience supporting and enhancing Name Screening Applications.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL queries, including writing, optimizing, and database management.
- 5 years of hands-on experience using JIRA and Confluence for agile project management.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with stakeholder engagement, collaborating with both business and technology teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with advanced MS Office tools and modern development methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Strong stakeholder management beyond core technical requirements.
- Experience in developing automated build and deployment processes.
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
- Familiarity with security best practices in application development.
