Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Data Governance Analyst-PMP who will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing data governance initiatives across our department. This position requires an analytical mindset, strong business acumen, and proficiency in presenting complex data insights to senior executives. The successful candidate will have a solid background in data governance within a financial setting and will work closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security, and usability align with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and enforcement of data governance standards, policies, and practices across the organization.
- Perform complex data analyses to support business decisions, highlighting trends, gaps, and opportunities within the data governance framework.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams, to understand data requirements, solve data-related issues, and drive governance best practices.
- Ensure high data quality and integrity across multiple systems by identifying gaps, establishing metrics, and developing monitoring procedures.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data governance processes, data flows, and business rules.
- Ensure data practices adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, particularly relevant in the financial industry.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on data governance initiatives, project progress, and data insights to senior executives, showcasing the value and impact of data governance on business objectives.
Desired Skill Set:
- Experience in Project Management
- Expertise in PMLC and SDLC
- PMP Certification
- Experience in Data governance and Cultural governance
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Nice To Have:
- Previous experience implementing data governance in a financial services setting.
- Certification in Data Governance (e.g., DAMA, DCAM) or Data Management
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
